Using moulds implies the idea that one image can instigate a double or many and therefore possibilities of new chance happenings; decontextualised meaning and even the idea that a single original may or may not exist, arises.

My approach is whatever comes out of the kiln, turns back into my raw material or compost with which to re-work - - the altered meaning is not something to be understood by seeing, hearing or touching the end product. It is not about making something purely to please the eye - - but it is all about the process.
